As a registered nurse specializing in obstetrics and a certified childbirth educator, I have a unique perspective on lactation. My passion for helping mothers and babies led me to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I breastfed my own child for 14 months and have helped countless mothers navigate their breastfeeding journeys. I believe in providing compassionate and evidence-based care to all of my clients. Helen was quick to respond allowing scheduling to be possible immediately which is necessary when in such pain and discomfort during the first few weeks of survival with a newborn. Helen is professional, knowledgeable about lactation, and clearly has the experience. More importantly, being a mom herself, she can relate firsthand to the challenges you’re facing. It was obvious she reviewed my intake form in great detail and arrived familiar with the areas I needed the most assistance. I had some difficulty breastfeeding my older son and had a lot of doubt and hesitation about being able to feed my newborn. Helen was understanding and encouraging and also very knowledgeable. I would recommend her strongly to anyone looking for a lactation consultant. After just one session I have a plan in place and have gained confidence and peace of mind too.
