Honeysuckle Lactation Consulting provides all clients with a Consent for Care. This form will be provided to the client when scheduling the visit, and must be signed before services are rendered. The client has the right to refuse any treatment or intervention offered to you, and this refusal will be documented in your chart.

Consent is verbally requested before touching the client or client’s minor child. The client may withdraw consent to be touched even if consent was previously given verbally or in writing. Withdrawal of consent will be documented.

Honeysuckle Lactation Consulting may refer clients to other professionals for continued care.  Honeysuckle Lactation Consulting does not accept fees for these referrals.  Honeysuckle Lactation Consulting will provide more than one referral option.

Client visits will be canceled in the event of provider illness or personal emergency and rescheduling is not guaranteed. In the event of cancellation for illness or personal emergency, clients will be notified by their preferred method as provided during intake.

Handwashing occurs:

• After entering the client’s home

• After using the bathroom

​​

Screens and keyboards will be cleaned at the start of every visit.

Latex-free gloves are worn:

• When examining an infant's oral anatomy

• When touching a mother's breasts

Insurance & Billing

I am an in-network provider with Aetna and Cigna for lactation services. While I am contracted with these insurance plans, coverage and benefits can vary depending on your specific policy.

Before your appointment, I recommend contacting your insurance company to verify coverage for both you and your baby, as each may have separate benefits and eligibility requirements. Please ask about any potential out-of-pocket costs, including copays, coinsurance, deductibles, or other patient responsibilities for lactation care.

If you have insurance that I am not in network with, payment is due at the time of service. After your appointment has been paid in full, I can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible full or partial reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan, so I encourage you to contact your insurer to learn about your out-of-network lactation benefits.
